Funds Management through trusts is a major issue for Indigenous groups who have completed native title or land access agreements. It is also an increasingly worrying area for major resource companies and Governments who are directing money to the trusts and not always being managed properly. All stakeholders want an independent manager that has an understanding of its client and a long and trusted track record in managing money.

There are also many other concerns apart from security of your money including adequate access to funds, understanding what fund managers, lawyers and accountants are doing with your money, how much they are charging you, whether you are learning from the process and whether it is being invested for the benefit of the client or someone else. In these times of financial uncertainty, managing money is complicated but for people with little understanding of the financial markets, it could be very damaging.

IndiEnergy appreciates the sensitivity and importance and has began discussions with a major investment bank but is keen to investigate all opportunities with other interested parties in the funds management area. We are seeking to partner with institutions who are full service fund managers, with expertise in all major asset classes and at least 20 years funds management experience. We will be looking for strong client focus, disciplined investment processes and dedication to innovation which can be tailored to suit the needs of our clients. A unique approach of tailored communication, learning and governance is something that we are seeking as an alternative to the usual service or frustration that clients experience.
